Four more reasons why opening the border to Mexican trucks is a bad idea

Four U.S. citizens were shot to death this week in Juarez, including a 15-year-old boy, according to the Associated Press. Just over the border from El Paso, Texas, Juarez is the most dangerous city in the world. Two thousand people are murdered there this year.

Juarez isn't the only place where uncontrolled violence reigns. The AP reported that just this week three police officers and 10 civilians were killed in Acapulco, and a burned body in a car there may belong to a Canadian businessman who's been missing.

Oh, and seven bodies were discovered in Nogales, which is just across the border from Arizona.

All this is a tragic byproduct of the drug wars that are destroying Mexican society. Loyal Americans concerned about the safety of their fellow citizens can't possibly want to open the border to Mexican trucks.

Can they?
